Getting Adobe certified for Coldfusion
I have worked with Coldfusion for pretty much my whole career and recently I have been considering getting the Adobe certified. For years I have been managing IT as far as internet servers, database servers, mail servers and pretty much anything else work could throw at me. I learned by necessity.
Hurricane Katrina not only wiped out the landscape here, it also managed to wipe out most our business, directly or indirectly. I went from managing networks in five office locations down to just one. Needless to say, I lost most of the leverage I had work because you can hire a kid to come in and manage a small network.
Now I am working on finding a job where I can actually use my skills again. I think that process would be a little easier if I actually get certified for what I was wanting to do. I have seen quite a few people out there who are Adobe Certified Coldfusion Developers and I was wanting to know what their experience was with the test. Is it hard? Are there any study manuals out there for it or practice tests I can take? The way the business environment is around here, getting work to pay to get me certified is not really an option. Since it is all coming out of my pocket, I would prefer to just pass it the first time so any help I could get from anyone would be appreciated.
