Problems with CFEclipse and SnipEx

First and foremost, let me say that Todd Sharp rocks.  Days ago I sent Todd an email regarding a problem I was having with the SnipEx server and he got back to me with a solution in a few hours.  Between a hectic work schedule and dealing with children, it has taken me a few days to try his solution, alas, no dice.  However, Todd did go out of his way to quickly lend me some help and follow up with me to see if it was working.  I think that speaks volumes.

Which brings me to the second part of this post.  The problem I am having is when I click on a node on the root SnipEx tree I will get a listing of sub-nodes.  However, when I open a sub-node it will repeat the root again and so on and so forth.  I suppose I should mention I am running CF/Eclipse on Windows Vista (I can hear the snickers from here).  Has anyone had similar issues with this?

Todd pointed me to the FAQ on http://cfsnippets.org and this blog post by Ray Camden about clearing the SnipEx  cache in Eclipse.  I am wondering if reinstalling Eclipse would help out in this situation.  If anyone has coped with this problem before I am definitely open to suggestions.

CFEclipse rocks!

Well, like many people it would seem, I have had a hit and miss relationship with Eclipse. I started playing around with it a few weeks back but the interface was a little overwhelming to begin with. I was having problems getting RDS set up and since I work primarily off the server it got set on the back burner for a while. Back to Dreamweaver.

Then the other day I was busy griping about this on Ray Camden's blog and he was nice enough to point out that RDS support is included in Adobe's Eclipse plugin, not in CFEclipse.

Needless to say, my RDS worries are gone. I have been using Eclipse for the last few days and it is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

CFEclipse ftp problems

I was looking into changing my editor of choice from Dreamweaver to CFEclipse, since I have heard some good things about it. The only annoying thing is, I cannot seem to access my documents through the ftp server. Every time I try to connect it just kinda hangs.

Since I have fixed my layout.cfm tag so that I can now edit in in Dreamweaver it may be a non-issue.
